Jason Laine – Kombat Fitness
Jason is a certified functional fitness trainer with 10 years of personal and group fitness training instruction and 5 years of mixed martial arts experience. Jason has played and coached baseball, football, and basketball at competitive levels. He has also competed in amateur kickboxing competition. Jason is the founder of the Kombat Fitness program, bringing aspects of combat training into an exceptional fitness program
Jeremy Pender – BJJ, Kickboxing, MMA
Jeremy is a professional MMA fighter with over 40 bouts to his credit. He holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Shawn Hammonds. Having fought all over the world and at multiple weight classes, Jeremy is one of the most experienced veterans in the area. Jeremy’s detail-oriented approach to teaching ensures students understand the ins and outs of every technique and position taught.
Lloyd Fowler – EarnIt! Boot Camp
Lloyd was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. He is a U.S. Army veteran, Certified Personal Trainer (NETA), and a Certified Veteran Fitness Operator with the FitOps Foundation. Lloyd has worked as the Oak Hills High School Softball Strength & Conditioning Coach (2018), Boone County High School Assistant Football Coach (2012), Northwest High School Assistant Football Coach (2010), and Oak Hills High School Assistant Track & Field Coach (2007-2008).
Marissa Pender – Youth BJJ
Marissa Pender is a professional MMA fighter, training since 2006. She holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Shawn Hammonds. As a mother of two (soon to be three!) and with years of experience working in childcare, Marissa is the perfect instructor for Vision’s Youth BJJ classes. Marissa shines in finding ways to relate material to a younger audience.
Scott O'Brien – Kickboxing & Kombat Fitness
Scott O’Brien brings an unrivaled experience to our kickboxing program. Scott has over 40 years of experience in various martial arts. He has studied the history and tradition of martial arts and has competed at the professional level in full contact kickboxing. As a member of an IKKA fight team, Mr. O’Brien trained and fought in the sport of full contact kickboxing until 2004. Since retiring from competition Scott has focused his attention on instruction.
Scott has trained UFC and Bellator veterans, amateur and professional fighters including former UFC welter weight world champion Pat Miletich, police officers, military personnel, SWAT units, and federal task force officers. He is a former United States National Standards of Training Association (USNSTA) member, master defensive tactics instructor, and retired 22-year law enforcement officer having spent most of his career assigned to special operations, investigative, and intelligence units.

Tyger Banks – Kickboxing & Kombat Fitness
Tyger has been training in Muay Thai and Kickboxing since 2004. He started his training in the Marines when he was 20 years old. Tyger actively competes in professional kickboxing and as of this writing holds championship titles for various promotions, including 3 lightweight titles, 1 welterweight title, and 2 featherweight titles. He is a wealth of knowledge and encouragement to his students. Tyger never asks his students to do anything he wouldn’t do himself.
