When people talk about Vision MMA, the main topic of conversation is the fighters. No one talks about the people behind the scenes. I guess if I owed anyone a “thank you” it is to my wife, Shellie. She has supported me 100% from the beginning and let me know that I should follow my dream. It hasn’t been and isn’t always easy. Matter of fact it’s really hard. When her friends are going out with their husbands to dinners, I’m going to the fights. When most families are watching TV together at night, I’m at the gym. When most husbands just bought their wife a nice gift, I can’t because I just paid a portion of the rent or electric bill at the gym when we came up a little short. When most wives are unhappy and talk to a divorce attorney because things haven’t changed, she hasn’t. She has stayed by my side. I always tell her that all the hard work that I put in will someday pay off and she will be glad that she toughed it out with me. So if I don’t tell her enough, I do love her. And if I don’t show it all the time…I do care. Thanks for all you do and all the support you give.
My Family
For the past several years, I know I have put the gym first, because I such a passion for it, but I love my family dearly and without their sacrifices they make every day, the gym wouldn’t be where it is today.
Holly Crowe
Before Holly became a partner, our gym was located in an old, small lawn mower repair shop. One winter we even trained without heat in the building. When she became involved, we expanded Vision, moved to a larger facility, purchased more equipment, and benefited from her ideas and insights. Her involvement has made a huge difference for our team.
Chris and Martie D’Andrea
I don’t even know where to begin this story. Martie and Chris both work for Holly and joined the gym as a personal favor to her. Chris did all the maintenance work and Martie helped with the Boxercise classes. From the beginning they just seemed to be the missing piece to the puzzle. They fit perfectly and the team loves them. The more they were around the closer they became with everyone. Before you knew it, Martie was a regular at the fights snapping pictures and screaming instructions to the fighters in the cage. They actually got a second job so that they could attend all the fights. They had caught the Vision Fever!! They are now officially Vision Parents. The guys look to Chris for guidance and leadership and Martie is referred to as the Vision Mom. They have become such a huge part of our family and now they are officially partners in the gym. The team and I couldn’t be happier. When Dan Straus won his fight in Bellator, he came out of the cage, jumped in my arms and told me thanks. The next thing he said was, “Where’s Martie?” Martie, I just want you to know what a huge difference you have made in all of our lives. Thank you and God Bless.
Team Vision Members
What can I say? I didn’t build this team alone. Without each and every member here, this gym would be just another gym. But because of each of you, it’s not just a gym…it’s Vision MMA.
Vision Fans
I want to thank you for all your support throughout the years. There is nothing more exciting than looking out at the crowd on fight nights to a sea of red Vision shirts and hearing your cheers for our guys. It’s almost like everywhere we go we have a home court advantage. Thanks again and see you at the fights!
Gym and Fighter Sponsors
I think one of the main reasons I have been so successful is that I have always surrounded myself with great people. I can’t take all the credit for vision MMA doing so well. It has been a total group effort. We started out with a small group of great guys that were really close. Then we blossomed into a large group of guys that are like family. Now, not only am I surrounded by great guys in the gym, but also, our sponsors as well. Our sponsors genuinely care about the guys and are helping to support and promote the fighters and their future careers. Thanks for your involvement and support. We couldn’t do this without you.
We dance to a beat with a flame fueled by passion; as intensity flares, determination rises and no one is asking. "Why do we do what we do? Because how we do it, it's done so well." We tap dance like a broadway show, instead of lyrics we spit beats and never lose our flow. Whether be the submission, K.O., no show or decision, boxing and mma, we are......Team Vision.
